Kenna's visit

Our 11 year old granddaughter, Kenna, has been visiting us this week and we've been busy. We started out sewing on her Janome Sew-Mini and she made a little hat for her panda. Then she moved on to making a carrying case for my MP3 player so she could carry it with her easily (no pockets in her shorts). Then we made the boxer shorts she's wearing in this photo. And, finally, she started cutting squares to make a little quiltlet which she plans to give to her friend's younger brother.

Kenna has changed so much since last summer - very independent and able to take care of herself. Her appetite has really increased and she's ready to go home now - we've eaten all the snacks we bought on Monday!

The boys will be coming for their alone time with Nana & Papa next month. They have busy schedules and can't fit us in 'til then. Fun times!

Thanks for having her! She's already cleaned off her desk so she has a spot for her machine and she's been sewing things for the boys. She very proud of her new skills!
