Dear Jane Club starts today at Quilter's Dream. Here are a couple of blocks I finished in 2011. Will I finish this DearJane in 2012???

Quilting for Christ

We started the new year yesterday at QFC with a great group of 12. We sewed bindings and labels on quilts for Possum Kingdom burn victims. These pics are of the 7 of us that stayed after Lunch for a Buck to finish up projects. We thought Cori looked like Betsy Ross!

Ron's project in North Carolina

Ron built these rails so his mom could walk up and down the steps, holding on to both rails, a requirement for coming home after her hip surgery. He is so handy!

Birthday celebrations

I enjoyed two birthday celebrations this year. Ron took me to the Artisan Theatre to see "All Hands On Deck", a musical revue of USO music from the big band era, after dinner at Abuelos.

Then Jennifer and Kevin hosted a birthday dinner for me last night. Delicious Chicken Chili and Coconut Cake - two of my favorites.

Kevin and Jennifer helped Ron set me up for texting - now to decide on a new phone. This was a wonderful way to start off the new year!

A different kind of Christmas...

This was a very different Christmas for us and I'm calling it the holiday of flexibility. It was a first for us - spending Christmas in NC. Ron was there to help his parents while Granny recouped from a broken hip. I joined him just before Christmas. We enjoyed visits with old friends and my mom and sister.
