Camden Cheering & Cullen Marching in Sept. and Oct.

I stole this collage of pics from Amy's facebook page - Camden and all those girls are ready to cheer.

I think that's Cullen in the red shorts - practicing marching band.

We were able to go watch a couple of games when Camden was cheering - he's growing up too fast!

Also saw Cullen in a band performance last week but failed to get a picture with him.  I think he's taller than Robert now and growing up too fast too!

Our 50th Anniversary - Sept. 3, 2016

I'm a bit late journaling about our Anniversary celebration with family.  Where has the time gone?  

Leaving our wedding on Sept. 3, 1966.

Jennifer & Amy and their families hosted a dinner party on Sept. 10, 2016 to mark the occasion.  It was at Jennifer & Kevin's house and was a total surprise.  We were told to come at 6:00 in dressy casual clothes.  The table was beautifully set with china and flowers with a gold theme, of course.  Jennifer & Amy had cooked chicken crepes, green beans, risotto, red skinned potatoes and homemade bread.  They had ordered a cake from Candy Haven in Denton and made mints like we served at both of their wedding receptions.

Jennifer and Amy had contacted some of our friends and asked for notes and photos of memories of when we had known them.  The scrapbook they made is a treasure.  Love reminiscing about the many good times we've shared with friends and family over the last 50 years.

Branson Trip

These pictures are a few from our Branson, Missouri trip with First Baptist Keller last week, October 10th through 13th.  Barbara & Allen joined us in Branson and went to all of the shows with us.  We saw six shows in three days!  What a whirlwind trip!  We had a great time with church friends and our friends, the Anthonys, who now live in Jackson, Tennessee.  We saw the The Presley Country Jubilee which was the funniest - loved Herkimer for President with his son, Cecil, for a running mate.  We also saw Clay Cooper, Red Hot and Blue, Moses and my favorite, The Duttons.  Moses was excellent - love seeing the Bible brought to life with live characters, live animals and music.  The Duttons are an amazing family, all of them are so talented.   It was a full four days with lots of good food, laughter and fellowship with our Christian friends.
