January 2021 - New year New quilt

I started a new quilt for Quilts of Valor this week.  Enjoying my solitary retreat, working on these blocks and finishing off the Christmas goodies.   Not planning to make any goodies for a couple of weeks - time to eat healthy!  This is Scrappy Mountain Majesties by Bonnie Hunter.

 

December 2020 Catch up

Quilting for Christ made a quilt for the First Hurst minister who was retiring.  I sewed the four rectangles together to make the blocks, Mary added the sashing and borders, Judith quilted it and Gail bound it.  We presented it to him at our Christmas party (box lunches, socially distanced).

Sew Many Blessings started making small quilts out of orphan blocks and I've made a few.

 

I've made a few fidget quilts this month.

I utility quilted this panel to add to my Christmas decor.  We went for a very minimalist look outside this year.  The lights for a tree in the front yard failed and, after many attempts to fix, Ron gave it up!

November 2020 Catch up!

Amy and I visited Parr Park Rock trail in November and celebrated Jennifer's birthday.  (Jennifer couldn't make it!)   

We finally celebrated Jennifer's birthday with her - socially distanced on her deck!  

 I finished two mini quilts for the next quilt show miniature auction.

I worked on shields for Days For Girls.

My cactus did its thing and bloomed its heart out again this year.

We had a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, compliments of Meat U Anywhere Barbecue in Trophy Club.  Yum!
