Sewing with friends at QD

The fabulous four had a fabulous time today, sewing at Quilter's Dream (thanks Beverly!). Maureen and I worked on our Bonnie Hunter workshop quilts - Cathedral Stars. Sheri was working on some swap blocks in repros - gorgeous. Sherrill put a Home of the Brave quilt together and worked on some string piecing. Love the squirrel fabric from Sherrill - those backyard bandits will find their way into lots of projects - thanks, Sherrill!

Happy Birthday, Janet!

March has been a busy month although not too much sewing going on around here. I did finish up this little woolie project for Janet's birthday gift. She liked it and one of her grandsons loved it. Said she'll be storing that tidbit away for the future when it's time to make him a quilt of log cabin blocks.

Cheap fat quarters

I took a tip from Bonnie Hunter and a reminder from my friend, Betty Lou, over at Sugarland Quilts and made a run to the resale shop yesterday. My find was 5 XL men's shirts (100% cotton) for $9. WooHoo!!! I'm ready to start cutting for a new scrap quilt.
