2015 Colorado Adventures Day 2 - July 4

We started our day very early, waiting for the parade to start.  It was a typical small town parade with a lot of entries - anyone who wanted to enter could, so there was a little of everything.  Except a band - the high school in Pagosa Springs doesn't have a marching band.

After the parade, we walked around the town, checked out the river through town and the hot springs opportunities.

Decided to grab some sandwiches at Subway and head out 4 mile road to enjoy the scenery and look for a place to picnic.  Turned out our best option for our picnic was the car!  It was a beautiful drive on a rocky, dirt road through the woods.

Lasagne for dinner at Marconi's

After dinner we visited the Overlook Hot Springs Spa for a soak and to watch the fireworks.  I didn't take pictures there since I was busy soaking so I stole one from their website.  We really enjoyed the spa - so much that we went back a second night. It was a bargain ($10 each for seniors) so that made it even better - we do love to find bargains!  The end of a wonderful day - tired but happy.
