Father's Day & Robert's birthday

We celebrated yesterday with lunch and a fruit pizza. The gang was found lounging in chairs, playing with their electronics. We don't watch much tv when we're together but we can't stop playing with those ipods and ipads!

Luggage tags

I came home from retreat with homework since I didn't have a walking foot with me. I made a dozen luggage tags today for BCQG's quilt show boutique next February. Sherrill got us all inspired to make a few.

Cathedral Stars...

This bright and colorful quilt will be going to a new home this summer. It is being donated at the June guild meeting for BCQG's Camp Crusis project. The guild requested 25 quilts for kids that attend this camp.

Quilt Retreat

Just got back from a 3 day retreat at Sheri's lake house. Sheri's raiding the candy jar in the first pic and finding her first geocache in the second pic.

I made everyone a selvage bottle cozy and put the blocks together from the 2010 block of the month at Quilter's Dream.

What fun we had - sewing, talking, eating and playing pranks. Thanks, girls, for the ice cream - yummy!

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there in blogland. I've taken up another craft (big mistake) - making cards. Here's the card I'm sending to Ron's dad - hope he likes it.

Recent finishes

I've stayed busy inside (avoiding those 100 degree temps.) and here's what I've finished lately. The tote bag is of Texas fabric, purchased on a retreat. It's nice and roomy for toting projects.

The two mini quilts are for the Trinity Valley Quilt Guild's Silent Auction at the fall show - Sept. 30th through Oct. 2nd. Don't forget to put those dates on your calendar.
