Santas at the Arboretum

The Degolyer House at Dallas Arboretum was decorated with a Santa theme. The Junior League of Dallas loaned more than 500 santas for the displays. There were santas dressed in everything imaginable from velvet to quilts. It was fun to see and a great place to warm up after viewing the gazebos decorated for the 12 Nights of Christmas.

Early Birthday Celebration

Ron took me to Dallas on Dec. 30th to activate my Christmas gift from Cooper & Pierce families - a family pass to Dallas Arboretum. We arrived just before they closed and activated the pass, planning to return after dinner, when they re-opened at 6:00 p.m., for The Twelve Nights of Christmas display.

Dinner at Highland Park Cafeteria - turkey and dressing, black-eyed peas and sweet potato casserole. Yum!

I decided a costume was in order for the gift opening this year. My elf hat was a bit small and looked better on Kenna so I gave it to her.

My friend, Sherrill, always does a crazy photo with family so I had to try it too. My rabbit ears on Amy and Cullen didn't show. Maybe I'll do better next time.

Dinner and gift exchange at Pierce home

Robert grilled delicious chicken & beef fajitas for a change from the usual lasagne for Christmas dinner. Kevin made his famous salsa and K & J brought pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Our gift exchange was late this year due to J & K's vacation to Montserrat.
