Today was very cold for May so we were happy to have another attraction to visit that was mostly inside. I did like history in high school but found Andrew Jackson's life very interesting. Must find a biography about him! His wife Rachel, was affectionately known as fat little dumpling.
There were junior docents telling us about the things we were seeing. Very cute and knowledgable.
We had lunch at the museum restaurant and the service was terrible! Could have been because of the Spring Ladies Luncheon that was being held under a huge tent on the grounds. Our lunch at Puckett's in Nashville on Tuesday was much better.
Ron and I finished the day by driving to Franklin to see another Puckett's Grocery and to walk around the town. Then on to Leiper's Fork to see the original Puckett's. After a few wrong turns, we finally were back on Hwy. 40 and on our way to Jackson for a visit with Allen & Barbara.
