Eating our way through Oregon

We started our first day in Oregon with a visit to Washington Park to see the International Test Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden.  Got our first glimpse of Mt. Hood from the garden.  It was harder to see than back in 2002 when I was there with Joyce Molder - the trees have grown!  The gift shop clerk suggested a visit to the grounds of the Pittock Mansion for a better view.

We enjoyed dinner at Bocelli's in Gresham.  Our salad was delicious and came in a timely manner.  Then we waited.  And waited.  After quite some time, the manager came over and said he wasn't sure what had happened to our entree but there would be no charge for our meal!  It was delicious also and enough to take home for a second meal.
