This morning we are heading out to visit Poas Volcano. Along the way we spot a colorful ox cart and the bus stopped for a photo opportunity.
This plant is called poor man's umbrella.

We hiked through a cloud forest to a lagoon. Cloud forests are like rainforests, but with less rain and more humidity.
Two of the three dancers that performed for us at our lunch stop.
The view from our lunch stop.
A typical Costa Rican meal - beans and rice or, for variety, rice and beans. We always had salad, vegetables and fruit with lunch and dinner. Beverages were fruit juice, water or coffee.
The dancers changed costumes and posed for pictures with baskets used to harvest coffee beans.

Next stop was Cafe Britt, a coffee plantation. Rain kept us inside for the presentation which was hilarious.
Two travelers learned the process for sampling coffee.
Everything was so lush and green here. This is the beginning of the rainy season for Costa Rica.
