Costa Rica - Day 9

On the bus again, our last day in beautiful Costa Rica.  We're in the tropical dry forest now on the Pacific side.  The trees and shrubs look very different from what we saw at the beginning of the trip.

A child was selling souvenirs beside the bus when we boarded for our afternoon ride.

Our final excursion was a cruise on The Tarcoles River, adjacent to the Carara Biological Reserve.  This wildlife sanctuary is a nesting site for the scarlet macaw and the home of more crocodiles.  We spotted two macaws from the bus but they weren't close enough for a photo.
